The Education systems have changed. The new era of Experience Schools.

Spread the love

Do you think, in the prevailing prominence of creativity all over the world, you will be able to take up a High Paying Job only with the support of an educational background??

It is going to be a huge NO. The main reason behind this is the increase in the acceptance of real exposure and practical work along with the growing creed of entrepreneurship that has resulted in dampening the education over experience gained. Let’s understand what makes it more divergent in the current world.

What was the traditional notion of study?

Tracing back in time, the ideology of education was to address curiosity, discoveries, and exploration with the help of infinite knowledge of books, theories and past examples resulting from an academic background. This created a finite platform for people to navigate their professional success and land a job only in the parameter of ranks in schools and rank of the school. Also, if we look back in time, individuals were more seen to be versed in theoretical aspects while exponentially lacking in implementing the needful skills in a realistic environment eventually leading to low experimentation and NO Innovation. But this parameter has significantly changed in better ways for the present and for the upcoming individuals.

The traditional notion of Being acquainted?

Education in traditional schools was about learning a skill and implementing it in ways observed in the past by leaders and scholars. The new approach makes you a leader yourself where you define your own resolutions according to the specific case analysis. It’s all about leading you towards progressive education. The main ideology of this is to prioritize and integrate learning with direct experiences and active engagement rather than passive absorption of information.

In comparison to the old methods, I justify this ideology to be gold and what makes me say that??? In the current world, students are challenged to reflect on their experiences, evaluate the judgment of the choices made, and link what they are learning to what they already know in the practical outlet. This can only be achieved by experiential learning rather than just imparting yourself with the academic background. Imparting knowledge from books is essential but it mainly implies individuals participating in tasks, completing the same projects, and fieldwork that provide them the opportunity to put their theoretical knowledge to use in the same way adhered by many. Learning from experience does help in gaining a greater comprehension of the material thanks to their active participation. This mainly helps in the form of problem-solving ability and critical thinking which is gaining importance in the fast-paced challenges thrown by the digital Industry.

With the changing ideologies altogether, experiential learning, which usually offers more individualized and innovativelearning paths, allows students to explore topics and projects that are in accordance with their issues presented and resolutions completely farmed for the issue. By emphasizing the value of active engagement and first-hand information (gained from individual experience) in the learning process, this “School of Thought” challenges conventional beliefs about education. Real learning frequently occurs when students are given the opportunity to connect their education with their own lives and experiences, and they are told to do so. Despite the fact that progressive education and experiential education have quite diverse goals and approaches, they all emphasize the value of experiences in the learning process. It recognizes that education is about developing well-rounded persons who can adapt and succeed in a world that is constantly changing around elements that are Fixed.

Example of Experiential Learning in the Past Century of Theoretical Education

Wright brothers are one of the best examples to highlight the fact that innovation is established outside the Books. Wilbur and Orville had a lack of interest in a diploma or even graduating the high school, but this lack of interest in the school did not stop them from being the inventors of the first airplane on the global scale. The lack of school education did not stop them from studying outside the curriculum. The ideology was a “Passion” as if “I want to fly, no matter What..” and they just went ahead and did it anyway. This can be one of the major inspirations for the current changes in schooling that educational background alone is not enough and that you need to have the zeal to drive and inspire innovations and ideologies in the world. This shows how experimental learning and the experiences of the field rather than gaining the educational background per se in the same can bring the same employability and/ or development in the world.

A Sundry Approach

Now the question is all about what strategy can make you acquainted. Let’s call it a sundry approach; wherein the ideology is more than gaining a skill or an experience out of the traditional academic background or one that confines your passion to the norms and situations in the books or history. The acquainted approach allows you to be proactive with these skills. Nowadays, the job platform is all about what experience one holds whether be it on an intern level or at an executive level. The focus has slightly shifted on what extra outlook you can bring to the table apart from the educational confined idea that all the students of that batch can have. For instance, an individual with a background in software engineering is now upscaled to gain the ideology of AI (Artificial intelligence). The idea has expanded so wide that there aren’t any affiliated educational courses for this and even if there are your past work samples and portfolio speak more than that Degree.

Freelancing has been a growing parameter that not only gives you autonomy over the work in your field but also the flexibility to gain a growing experience while developing your academic background. One of the primary explanations given by people for choosing to work as a freelancer is the opportunity to broaden their experience, which is another major benefit regardless of any academic background they hold. So this not only helps in learning but also in gaining work experience.

Nonetheless, Management Schools also have been one of the education patterns that involved experiential learning before freelancing came into existence. In so far as the Management program maintains its current standards by utilizing its curriculum to reflect how quickly the world is changing and adapting practical and experimental learning for presenting a new outlook and new solutions, it can be close to Experiential learning. However, does this indicate that gaining an MBA degree is a must?; The answer is to be focused on Experiencing situations and resolutions of your own rather than just cramming the books. GO out, take internships, and work on smaller projects to be more influential and problem-solving rather than just listen to the books.

Conclusion

This brings us to the question of a conflict that is as old as higher education itself. It concerns what factors most influence employment. Does a higher degree provide more leverage, or does prior work experience matter more? Will the education or experience serve better in terms of maintaining employment, developing a career, and earning a solid living for decades to come, beyond just landing a job? This can be a form of unsettling debate. But understanding the drawn parameters of how experience can be embedded in the particulars of education of academic background, it can be stated that they are interrelated with the core aim of just building knowledge in an individual. Thus, the new era of experience schools can be seen to be progressive and more experimental in the path of interaction between education and experience for an individual
